A new Gallery space in Northcote, Melbourne.

I have the pleasure of being accepted into a new Gallery space for its first opening exhibition.

The Gallery is called Unbound Gallery in Northcote, Melbourne Victoria. It is very close to being finished in time for this exhibition. It looks like a cool space with a few sections to it I think.

It can always be the unknown when entering shows as I was recently not accepted into another favourite Gallery that I have exhibited in previously. There are always more entries than spots and I feel a lot of these exhibitions still run on a ‘who you know’ arrangement.

Yellow is hope

This artwork is one of the two I have entered into the exhibition and they are both of a large size so perfect a good wall space in your home.

The word Yellow means hope and change which at the time of putting this composition together, my life had gone through some serious turns all in the same year.   That year both of these turns were of the same magnitude but different.  One of these was my sweet Mum passing away at the age of 87 after a fall at home as my Dad was preparing the car in the driveway to take Mum out to an appointment.

Dad was Mum's carer already for the best part of that decade.  Dad stayed with Mum at the steps of the front porch where she fell in the cold trying to wrap her up and keep the warmth in her body while they waited for the Ambulance.  I think they were out in the cold for over an hour together.  My Dad would never have left my Mum alone at any time.

Yellow is Hope hangs beautifully on any wall in your home.
